The major incident team is a select group of individuals drawn from the various operator teams that make up McAllisters Recovery. They range in age, skills and experience. Ready at a moments notice, they respond quickly to any major incident to clear it quickly and effectively.

It is team that responds to the incidents that make up the 'BIG job of the month'. The team is made up of ten people, available on rotation 24 hours a day to meet the needs of primarily our Police contract needs for major incident recovery and any major customer on the LGV accident management scheme.

When the team attends a major incident the first on the scene is the Quick Response Vehicle used to assess Scene. This is usually the Honda Pan European motorcycle. Now that we have 'eyes on the ground' the incident supervisor makes an informed decision on the equipment and personnel required to attend.

Immediate specialist response for any incident

Clearing the highways on a daily basis

From the Heavy Team - Underlifts, twin boom unit's or low loader.

From the Commercial Roadside Team - Air Cushion Rescue Unit

From the Accident Team - Lorry Mounted Cranes

From the Admin Team - Communications and Photography

The Major Incident Team Leader will then attend in convoy to the scene where he will supervise the recovery. He has numerous backup resources, which include other recovery company's and their equipment who are sub-contractors, mobile crane's, vets and divers. From these resources the team will then conduct the recovery operation.

25 years of experience make this team the most effective major incident team of its kind in our operational area, when McAllisters are called to attend, the job is as good as done.
