The heart of all operations in a modern recovery business revolves around its operations centre, commonly known as 'The Control Room'. At McAllisters we have implemented new technologies to ensure that our system is most efficient and effective.

We work using a maximum three person system for peak call times. The main point of contact in the control room is the dispatcher, this position is manned 24 hours a day and their job is to monitor all vehicle movements through GPS tracking, ensuring that the right technician, with the right type of vehicle, attends the right incident within the estimated time of arrival (ETA).

State of the Art Technology

The duty controller is assisted by our control room manager who oversees the planning and resourcing of incidents through peak periods. Operating our high jobs volumes is possible with this small number of staff due to our investment in information technology, with over 90% of all communication between control room and operators at the roadside carried out electronically.

The majority of information enters the control room through the Turbo Dispatch system, quickly being assessed then dispatched to the nearest unit, also fitted with the Turbo Dispatch system. On average the whole process takes less than minute, ensuring a quick response time and efficient management of resources.

We can be reached at any time on the following number 0800 330999.
