This vehicle made the news, after its driver was swept away during heavy flooding in early March at the end of the extensive snowy period we had at the start of 2010. We were requested by the vehicles insurer to put together our specialist river rescue team to get the vehicle back to dry land and prevent pollution to the water course. We utilised a specialist river salvage dive team combined with our heavy winch vehicles which are able to winch large distances to get the vehicle safely back to dry land.
