McAllisters Recovery sponsor local cadet squadron

In 2010 McAllisters Recovery are sponsoring their local Air Cadets,261 Guildford Squadron Air Training Corps. This sponsorship arrangement sees the vehicle rescue and recovery business support the charitable organisation with its maintenance, servicing and repair of its minibuses, along supply of additional vehicles such as 4x4's and vans for outward bound activities and camps.

The most recent development sees a new style sports uniform and other squadron clothing displaying the McAllisters Recovery logos which have been financially supported by the company allowing funds to be re-directed into other areas used for activities including flying,sports, Duke of Edinburgh, marksmanship, first aid and ceremonial drill.

Managing Director Mark McAllister said "As part of our CSR (CorporateSocial Responsibility) policy we try and support youth and charitable organisations that make a difference in our local community. 261 Squadron are a fantastically well organised and run organisation that helps young people enjoy all sorts of exciting activities whilst developing life skills in personal motivation and discipline which is consistent with high achievement. By supporting this squadron we hope to encourage more like minded children to join the corps and have opportunity to experience hese kind of activities whilst having fun and making new friends"

261 Guildford Squadron are recognised as the leading squadron in Surrey Wing and have won numerous accolades and awards for their team activities, notably 2009 Corps Drill Champions which have seen members of the squadron representing the Air Training Corps at ceremonial events
