Major of the Month - February 2011

Overturned Tipper Carrying Tarmac collides with several vehicles.

Whilst travelling northbound on the M3 a tipper carrying hot tar overturned, landed on a car and spilt its load of tar over the carriageway. We utilised our rotator to skip the back of the truck away from the barrier then upright it within the carriagway that had been closed, allowing the southbound traffic to continue throughout the operation. We cleared the numerous cars involved using light slidebed vehicles.
