SCENARIO: Loaded Concrete Mixer loses traction on the edge of the road and slides into the ditch when pulling over to let an oncoming car past on a narrow back road, shedding some of its load of sand and gravel.

SOLUTION: We utilised two heavy winching vehicles to winch the vehicle upright. As the rear nearside drive axles were in contact under the tarmac of the road this created a natural pivot point. Using this to our advantage we utilised one winching vehicle rigged off a tree to start the righting force required to stand it up. We then utilised our rotator with a wide strop on the rear corner to provide the biggest turning moment the two vehicle worked in unison to bring the vehicle safely up and out of the ditch and onto the road to allow recovery back to our storage compound.
